      Selective Pallet Racking

Selective Pallet Racking is the most common and versatile type of pallet racking system used in warehouses and distribution centres. It’s designed to store palletized goods in horizontal rows with multiple levels, allowing direct access to each pallet. It’s ideal for handling diverse SKUs and frequent inventory turnover because each pallet is stored on beams and can be accessed individually by MHE without moving other pallets, ensuring efficient picking and replenishment. Key Features • Direct Access: Every pallet is immediately accessible using a MHE. • Adjustable Beams: Beam heights can be adjusted to fit different pallet sizes. • Standardized Components: Easy to install, reconfigure, or expand.

      Double Deep Pallet Racking

Double Deep Pallet Racking increases storage density by storing two pallets back-to-back in a single row instead of one. This system places pallets two rows deep, similar to selective racking, allowing higher storage capacity while still maintaining relatively simple and quick access to pallets. Key Features: It does efficient use of warehouse space, relatively quick access to pallets with the use of specialized forklift’s but does not provide direct access to pallets stored in back.

      Drive In Pallet Racking

Drive-In Racking System is a high-density storage solution that maximizes space by minimizing aisles. Unlike selective racking, it allows forklifts to drive directly into the racks to load or retrieve pallets. Key Features: It maximizes storage space by up to 85%, allows both FIFO and LIFO operations.

      Narrow Aisle Racking

Very Narrow Aisle (VNA) Pallet Racking is a high-density storage system that adapts standard pallet racking by reducing aisle width to maximize warehouse space. It’s a variation of selective racking optimized for narrower aisles and better use of vertical space. Key Features: It Maximizes warehouse storage but requires specialized equipment’s which will be costly.

      Cantilever Racking System

A Cantilever Racking System is designed to store long, bulky, or irregular-shaped items that don’t fit on traditional pallet racks. It allows easy access for various material handling equipment like cranes and forklifts. The racks can be configured with arms on one or both sides, depending on available space. Key Features: It is Ideal for long and bulky items with flexible configuration and adjustable arms.

      Data Center Racks

Data center racks are standardized frames or enclosures used to house and organize servers, networking equipment’s, cables and other IT infrastructure in a data center or server room. The types are outdoor racks, Open racks, networking racks, wall mounted racks and customizable racks. Key Features: It has perforated doors, top venting fans and internal cooling systems. It helps in organizing the cables with enhanced lockable doors and panels for security reasons.

Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (AS/RS)

AS/RS — advanced warehouse automation solutions that store and retrieve loads with minimal human intervention using robotics, conveyors, and computerized controls. These systems are guided by warehouse management software (WMS) and often include features like stacker cranes, shuttle robots, and conveyors working together in high-density rack structures. Key Features: AS/RS systems eliminate the need for wide aisles and use vertical storage, allowing up to 85–90% more storage density compared to traditional shelving. Reduces labour and operational cost butsupport’s increased throughput.
